I Miss The Girl (A poem)
Share
This is one of my favorite poems that I have ever written. I think it is such a beautiful testament of growing up and how beautiful it is, even with all the change.
I wrote this when I was around 14, and it was honestly really hard to understand growing up, and how life was changing around me. Now, at 14, I had to worry about going into High School and being a teenage girl, as I wished back the days where I would "spend all of it outside" and rarely cry unless I stubbed my toe lol.
As I grow even older, I am learning to take every stage of my life as a new opportunity to find myself and grow, even if it is more challenging than it used to be. Now, as an 18 year old, I look back at this poem in hopes that I don't continue to mindlessly wish for the future or for the past instead of appreciating the stage of life that I am currently
This is from my book, "Fill Your Mind With Flowers"
